The first race event of AFR 2.0 was launched in Zhuhai International Circuit on 21-22 March. Though it is a non-championship event, 15 drivers from all over the world came to Zhuhai to compete in this prestigious single seater racing series.

At this race, Asian American driver Geoffrey Kwong who stands for Champ Motorsport has topped 4 at the Qualifying and Race 1, as well as 5^th at Race 2. Geoffrey had not practiced any at all since last year’s season. And he just practiced the official sessions and then went straight to the race.

After race, Geoffrey told us:’’It felt so good to be on behalf of Champ and I believe the more I practice, the better I will do!”  This races has made Champ and the Asian American driver more confident about the races in the future. Formula Renault 2.0 Team manager of Champ commented:” I really admire the professional and stable driving style of Geffery. The result of this race has met our primary expectation. I believe he will do better in the future.”
